چکیده

In this work, a sand filtration-activated carbon adsorption system was evaluated to remove the fungicide content of biologically treated effluent. The purification process mainly carried out in activated column, while filtration slightly contributed improvement pollutant parameters. tertiary treatment system, which operated under batch mode for 25 bed volumes, resulted total and soluble COD removal efficiencies 76.5 ± 1.5% 88.2 1.3%, respectively, detecting concentrations below 50 mg/L permeate column. A significant pH increase respective electrical conductivity (EC) decrease also occurred after adsorption. ammonium nitrogen significantly decreased, with determined 2.44 0.02 0.93 0.19 mg/L, permeate. Despite that, initial imazalil concentration greater than that fludioxonil effluent (i.e., 41.26 0.04 versus 7.35 0.43 respectively). completely removed adsorption, residual detected. Activated detoxified fungicide-containing effluent, increasing germination index by 47% undiluted wastewater or 68% 1:1 v/v dilution.

Equilibrium and kinetic study for the adsorption of p-nitrophenol from wastewater using olive cake based activated carbon

The present work was carried out to evaluate the removal of p-nitrophenol by adsorption onto olive cake based activated carbon having a BET surface area of 672 m²/g. The batch adsorption experimental results indicated that the equilibrium time for nitrophenol adsorption by olive cake-based activated carbon was 120min. The adsorption data was modeled by equilibrium and kinetic models. The pseudo...
